Bernice Flatebo

President

Bernice Flatebo is PPSS’s retirement plan consultant. She founded PPSS in 2013 after 20 years of experience in the pension industry and enjoys working with employers, their CPA’s and their financial advisers to provide information on the intricacies of retirement plans. Berni has earned her Accredited Pension Administrator (APA) designation from the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA) & her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Outside of PPSS, Berni is a Docent with the Metro Art Docent Council & enjoys leading tours of Metro Rail’s extensive public art collection.

Michael Flatebo

Enrolled Actuary

Michael Flatebo joined PPSS after graduating with a degree in Probability & Statistics from UC San Diego in 2017. Michael is our retirement plan administrator specializing in Defined Benefit & Cash Balance Plans. Michael is also on the board of Western Pension & Benefits Council’s Orange County chapter where he helps plan educational seminars for retirement plan professionals. In his free time Michael loves cheering on the Lakers, rock climbing and reading.
